Prep the Room
Painting is much easier when there aren’t any obstructions. This is why you should take some time to empty out your room as much as you can before your contractor arrives. Bring furniture towards the middle of your room and cover them up with large cloths so that paint won’t drip on them later.
You’ll also want to wipe down your walls. While it doesn’t seem important at first, it helps get rid of any dirt and dust that has built up over time. Getting rid of the debris on your walls will let your paint adhere to your walls more easily.
Test Paint Colors

These come at a price, so you’ll need to factor in the price of these materials before you start painting. If you hire a painting contractor, they should already have the materials needed to complete the job, but you should address this concern with them ahead of time just to be sure.
